"LARPENT" -Waterfront building block - Nr Stroud
Offers over $150,000.
Very private building block at the edge of the waters of the Little Branch River.
This block of 2106 square metres (just over a half acre) has access via the navigable Karuah River to Nelson Bay.
The Branch development was initially designed by Walter Burley Griffin in approximately 1920.
Within the development are around 88 blocks of varying sizes. Most lots are timbered and accessed by gravel roads. The location reminds the writer of Berowra or even Akuna Bay, many years prior development.
This area is an investment in the waiting !!!!
Where else does one find a waterfront property, navigable to Nelson Bay, yet soooo close to the airport, Newcastle CBD and all services?
AND at this price - THINK ABOUT IT!!!
The area of 'The Branch' was designed around 1920, by Sir Walter Burley Griffin. The village existed mainly on the timber industry and had a population of approx. 500 people. The Branch River system along with this large subdivision is approx. 45 minutes upstream and navigable from Port Stephens/Nelson Bay. The Branch offers a huge history, some of which includes large steam and tallships which navigated past its banks, on the way to off load supplies at the Booral Wharf. The wharf has unfortunately fallen into the river. Back then, bullock teams pulled drays of supplies up to numerous villages including, Stroud, Booral & Simsville.
